On Wednesday, February 12, 2020 the children will be celebrating Valentine's Day class. The children can bring in Valentine's day cards for their classmates. There are 17 kids in 2B and 17 kids in 2C. We ask that the children do not address their cards, just only sign their name on each card, it makes handing out the cards much easier. If your child brings in cards, please ensure they bring in 17 cards, it is very important that no child is left out.

Class Mascot Writing for Ice Cube and Leona
Congratulations class mascots have gone home today! 2C has Leona and 2B has Ice Cube. Each day a different student will be given a very important responsibility. Each student will get a chance to take care of our class mascot.
While you have our class mascot you will need to complete a journal entry from your point of view. Tell what you did with our mascot. Did you read him/her a story, take him/her to hockey practice or a movie? Write about whatever you want to share with the class. Sign your name to your entry.
Try and take a picture of you and the mascot together and glue/tape it into the journal. If you do not have a printer available, draw a picture of what you and Ice Cube did and colour it with pencil crayons, no markers please.
PLEASE ENSURE THE MASCOT AND JOURNAL ARE RETURNED THE VERY NEXT DAY IN THEIR BAG.

The children had a wonderful first day of school. We are sure they will have plenty of great things to tell you about tonight. Notes have gone home today. Please make sure that you initial your child's agenda everyday. For the children in 2B and 2C, we have put their agenda in a Ziploc bag. Please send the Ziploc bag to school everyday with the agenda inside. Feel free to replace the Ziploc bag when needed.
Just a friendly reminder that all children in 2B and 2C will need to have a pair of indoor running shoes that are to be kept at school. They must be able to independently manage their shoes, so please only velcro shoes if your child has not yet mastered tying laces. Please ensure your child brings a pair of indoor running shoes to school this week. Please remember to label them. We would also encourage your child to have some pencil crayons, pencils and erasers that they keep in a pencil case so that they can easily take their supplies with them as they switch classrooms.
In English and Math, I am encouraging your child to check the website everyday. Under ENGLISH & MATH HOMEWORK , under their respective grade, this week I will post a question that your child needs to answer in their agenda under the next days date. So the question for tonight your child will answer under Mercredi on the right hand side of their agenda. The side of the agenda that only has the day of the week in French, not the date. Any homework posted on the website will be posted by 3pm, so there is no need to check the website throughout the evening for homework. If homework is not posted by 3pm there is no assigned homework that night other than to read a book of their choice.
